Daniel Oyegade is a Manchester-based visual artist whose work explores the intersection of the mundane and the surreal. He is particularly focused on re-contextualising and subverting assumed cultural forms to offer provocative and nuanced critiques of contemporary society. Guided by the principles of “philosophy through art” and research-informed practice, Daniel’s in-depth research into social theory and philosophy underpin his art. With an academic background that includes an undergraduate degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Photography, Daniel has developed a distinctive artistic voice. He has produced compelling work for organisations such as Puma, the BFI and SEEN Mag.
